Haris Sheikh a Canadian of Pakistan origin graduated as Film Director from Canada in 2003. Previously he studied Architecture and also got Masters Degree in Political Science and another in Fine Arts . Sheikh's career started as a Columnist and Political activist.
In 2000, disguised by another Military regime in Pakistan, Sheikh immigrated to Canada. Here he learned the craft of filmmaking from Hollywood productions. Sheikh is the Associate director for award winning documentary, “Fundamental Freedoms” about Canadian Charter of Rights .
Currently enrolled in “Canadian Journalism for Int’l Trained Writers ”, at Sheridan College, Sheikh is also producing a documentary and writing a book on a highly provocative topic.
Current Affairs, Muslim civilization, Global Immigration, Multiculturalism and Canadian identity are his favourite’s topics. Recently Sheikh wrote an award winning article about ,“Poverty among new immigrants in Canada”.
